These guidelines apply to the non-commercial entry and departure of pleasure craft, motor sailors, and yachts. They outline the legal responsibilities and procedural requirements for vessel Masters entering or leaving Indonesian territory.
Definition of Master: The person in charge of the vessel is legally designated as the Master, regardless of vessel ownership or whether the owner is present on board.
ADVANCE NOTICE OF ARRIVAL (Mandatory)
By law, the Master of any arriving vessel is required to submit a notice of impending arrival at least 24 hours prior to entering Indonesian waters.
Failure to provide advance notice may result in penalties or delays in clearance.
